Services For All Home Educators
INFORMATION: DCHSE provides new and potential home educators with applications to the Information Network for Christian Homes (INCH) and the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).
CIVIC CENTER DAYS: The first Friday of the month September through May, we meet at the Civic Center in Escanaba. The kids are able to play in the gym, and the parents can ask questions, share ideas, and fellowship with other parents. We usually have a guest speaker or educational event at each meeting.
SPECIAL EVENTS: We schedule many special events throughout the year. These include major educational events like the Science Fair, History Day, and Hobby Day. We try to make each event well worth your time.

LIBRARY ACCESS: DCHSE maintains a library for the benefit of members. It houses a growing collection of several books, tapes, videos, educational games, and science equipment of interest to home educators.
NEWSLETTER: DCHSE publishes a monthly newsletter. Included in the newsletter are a calendar of upcoming events, articles of interest to home educators and other articles written by members of DCHSE.
CALENDAR: DCHSE maintains a weekly calendar of events for fast, short notice communication of upcoming events directly to your e-mail address.
INTERNET: A members-only website provides members with the newsletter, updated messages, current calendar, reminders of upcoming events and other profitable information. This will make it easy for members to keep up with what is going on.
JV & VARSITY SPORTS: Currently we have boys’ JV and Varsity Basketball teams and girls’ JV and Varsity Volleyball teams who compete with other homeschool teams. Team members’ families are required to be members of DCHSE.
HSLDA DISCOUNT: If you are a member of DCHSE, Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) will give you a $15 discount off their annual fee. Please request our HSLDA discount group number when you join DCHSE.
